New Room

After more or less 3 days of on and off cleaning, unpacking and rearranging, my new room is now in
an acceptable living mode. It is a master room with an attached bathroom, which I am very happy with, and located
just one street behind my old house in the Kebudayaan area. In fact it is the same street as my cousin and Own Chai's
house, and Yuk Mee's place is just one street away. AND...the rent is even less than that of my previous room's rent.So...
I suppose it is a fairly good place to stay :).

BUt as I am typing this, I feel strangely lonely. It's an undescribable feeling of not being able to...retrieve or return
to a previous phase in your life no matter how hard one tries. Maybe I am still missing my university life:p. Or maybe
I just feel the house is empty, and I miss my old housemates even though I have never been particularly close to them, and
even when we were staying together I spent more time outside and in my room than with them:P Hmmm...I dunno, I guess I just miss
the homey feeling that they brought to the house, because my ex-housemates, bless them, made our old place a real home...not only
did they filled it with all the necessities of the house like fridge, TV, stove etc etc, they also filled it with their laughter and
voices and, well, their presence. It made the house alive, it made it a home to return to.

My new place is only inhabited by 4 people including me. One of them is my coursemate from uni who is currently working
here, and the other 2 are a couple who are also now working in JB. My coursemate unforunately had an accident so she is resting at her
hometown now so she is not around, while the couple are working so I don't see them often, and all of us just basically keep to ourselves
when we are in the house. So...i don't know, it is kinda lonely in a way, to go back home and not have anyone to say hello to even. I guess for me
it's just something to get used to...a feeling that everything is the same, and yet it has all changed...

ANd nobody comes over :(. My boyfriend does, but then he is studying and I don't want to get in his way so much...as for friends, well,
now that I think of it, they don't really have a reason to come over I guess:P. It used to be that people would come over to do
assignments or discuss about activities and AIESEC stuff, and I don't have those anymore do I?:P Sigh....

Oh well, I guess that's what you get when you are searching for a temporary permanence...
