Rhyming Ramblings

Wrote this for my Induction mates on Monday =p Not exactly Hallmark material, and it didn't elicit much response from its target audience, but I figured it's a pretty good attempt on my part anyway =p

Dearies, picture this if you will,
I sit here in my cube not entirely out of my own will,
Not a peep from the PIPErs, all is still,
It’s strange, I sure hope no one’s ill.

On my speakers, The Bangles sing “Just another Manic Monday…”
Not exactly the song to cure the blues away,
But still it helps to pass the 8 hours working day
Without your emails, it feels like an extremely long day.

So here’s my little “Hello”, which I’m sending your way
Not meant to intrude in any way
Just thought I’d brighten up your day,
By telling you that you’re thought of, though you’re far away ;)
