CNY Break =)
Today is Friday, which means that it is almost the end of my week-long CNY break =(
Still, the week has had its moments ;) Unlike previous week-long breaks where I go gallivanting off to the other half of Malaysia to see MY other half =p, this time around it's just me staying at at home and catching up with some old friends who are back in town for the festive season.
Highlights of the week:
1) Getting a RED blouse for Chinese New Year =) I haven't got myself anything RED for as long as I can remember....so this was a pleasant find for me...more so as I was doing my Chinese New Year's clothes shopping at the absolute last minute=p...
2) Meeting up with my high school friends. Ching, Yuk Mee and I have always kept in touch throughout the years, but this year we were able to "trace" and meet up with Hung Na and Choon Lee whom we haven't seen for almost 3 years....
3) Getting a new passport...Though the queing and waiting sucked, for once I am very happy with my passport picture =D Hehhe ok ok I probably cheated a little as the photo studio that I went to offered "touch-up" services at an extra charge=p Can't blame a girl for being just a little bit vain....=p
4) Renewing my driver's license (yes I drive!!! =D) The below picture is not much to look at, but that's Jess at the steering wheel for sure! =p
As compared to getting a new passport, renewing my license was a breeze...so thumbs up to the local post office for their fast & efficient service =)
5) Discovering Coffee Bean's Smoked Salmon Panini. Normally if I get a bite at Coffee Bean I will go for the Caesar's Salad, but I got the Smoked Salmon Panini instead since I wanted to get something different. And boy was I well rewarded! =) 3 fat and juicy rolled-up slices of smoked salmon along with some eggs and onion scrunched between two fluffy pieces of panini bread...yumm....now I know where to go for my salmon fix ;)
6) The opening of Biotherm Beauty Counter at the local Parkson =) Been a fan of the brand since it helped me with my pimples outbreak problem 2 years back...;)
7) A new book!!! Indulging myself in chick-lit this time with "Weekend In Paris" by Robyn Sisman. Heheh...nothing beats the feeling of book shopping =)
8) Stuffing myself with New Year goodies ;p
It's been a good break =) *sighs*
